Sekine picked up his fresh-kill and padded over to join her. He wrapped his tail neatly around his paws as he sat beside her and began eating the squirrel. The dappled sun warmed his pelt and he felt as if he could stay there forever.

Aratona finished her fresh-kill and smiled contently "You know, I am really glad I found you" She glanced shyly at him realizing she had said it out loud.

Warmth flooded through him from him tail to his ears and he reached over and licked her ears affectionately "I am too."

Aratona twined her tail with his and felt such a powerful feeling flooding through her like a flood in new-leaf that it took her breath away for a heartbeat. She wished every day could be like this and she thought to herself maybe it could, I mean sure in Leaf-bare I would be hungry but it wouldn't matter as long as I was with Sekine.

Sekine picked up her thoughts with a jolt of joy. She felt the same way about him! This day was the best day he had ever experienced.

Aratona being curious as always wanted to see what Sekine was feeling. She felt a sudden jolt of joy and wondered why but she just pushed it aside and curled up beside him.

Aratona's head suddenly shot straight up. "I know what we need to do!" She immediatly got up and began pacing around figuring out all the things in her head.

Sekine stared confusedly at Aratona "What are you talking about?" He padded over to watch her walk back and forth.

She turned to him with joy lighting up her face "We need to go to the mountains! My mother came to me in a dream saying 'Traveling to the land of stone and ice will disolve deadly boundries.' Now I know what she meant! She also said that the others would know to come to! In three sunrises seven hours past sun-high meet where the water swirls she said and that must be that little pool I found!" She stopped mewing for a second to catch her breath.
