Sekine dipped his head in thanks before devouring the vole in a few ravenous bites. He saw the worry in her face and instinctively pressed himself to her side to try and comfort her. "Well if we're stormed in we might as well sleep" He used some of the dead leaves in the cave to build a nest in the corner then closed his eyes to just slits so he could look at her. He admired her hard muscles under her sleek pelt and the way the green flecks in her eyes glowed softly.

Aratona felt warmth trickle into her cold body as she felt him press against her. She quickly shook out her fur and made a nest of dry leaves next to Sekine's. She curled up and wrapped her tail around herself. Aratona had always been more aware of different cat's feeling then the normal cat. She was feeling waves of admiration and warmth coming from Sekine and thought to herself "Well, he seems very nice and very trusting. Maybe I should invite him to come to my side of the forest..."

Sekine closed his eyes and let sleep overtake him. His dreams were warm and comforting but fleeting in memory.

Aratona closed her eyes and fell asleep. When she woke Sekine was still asleep so she decided to go out and hunt. The rain was clearing up and the sun was shining. Dew was on every blade of grass making it bend over. She easily brought down 2 squirrels and a black bird then headed back to the cave.

When Sekine woke Aratona wasn't in the cave anymore. He felt disapointed that she had left but he couldn't dwell on it forever. He quickly got up groomed his fur, stretched, and headed out into the sunshine. The storm had cleared leaving everything wet and the sun shining.

Aratona padded back into the clearing to find Sekine awake. "Oh your awake. I was hunting while you were sleeping sorry If I worried you. Hey...uh... do you need somewhere to stay for a while? Because I know this great place and its really near where I stay and you could go there if you wanted to..."

Sekine's whole face lightened up as he saw her padding in. "Oh you didn't leave... I thought you did... I actually was looking for a place to stay I'd really l ove to go to that place." He s miled warmly at her

Aratona led Sekine through the forest untill they reached a thickly clustered bush. Aratona pointed with her tail to it "This is where I live and that," She mewed pointing her tail to a large opening underneath the roots of a tree "Is what I had in mind for you. Is it ok?"

Sekine nodded enthusiastically "That will be perfect. Thank you so much for taking me here." He smiled at her then padded over into his new den to begin to make it more comfortable.

Aratona smiled back at him and watched him pad over to his new den. She bunched up her muscles and jumped into a nearby tree. She swiftly climbed to the top and stared out across the view. To her left the forest stretched out endlessly until it reached the far off mountains. Straight ahead lay the rippling lake and the river on the other side that it fed. Off to the left was the rippling long grasses of the meadow and the Alleys, Streets, and Rubble beyond that. Behind her she gazed towards the grassy green hills. She hadn't been there yet, nor the mountains. Maybe one day she would explore there.
