Why?

Stonepelt flattened his ears and crouched low to the ground, his eyes filling with sadness. Why was she upset with me? It greatly unsettled him and it hurt, knowing that he didn't really do anything wrong. He stared out across the burnt forest, to his home. Maybe he would have been better off if he had stayed there... No, I'm having kits with her and there must be a reason. Plus, there's no one there left for me. He continued staring out.

[Incendie]

Althaia slowly walked to Stonepelt, she looked at him sadly. She was just hoping he wasn't thinking of going back to his real home. Also, that he wasn't with Lilawe, she looked down in sadness and licked some of his dirty fur clean. "You are dirty dear, why?" She asked her mate, covering his body in licks. She stayed quiet until he answered.

[Cielo]

Stonepelt jumped slightly when she approached. He was afraid that she was still angry so he chose his words carefully and didn't look at her, afraid he would see anger there. "I'm too tired." which wasn't an entire lie. Worrying and crying had left him with little strength. Plus he was so distracted he could barely hunt. But it was mostly because he just didn't care enough to clean his coat.

[Incendie]

Althaia stopped after his coat was cleaned. "Hey, have been crying Stone?" Althaia said worried. She licked his cheek gently and gently made them both lay down. "I'm sorry for leaving, I just... I think we need to talk." She said. "I saw you with Lilaewe, a while back. You really like her don't you?" She said looking down.

[Cielo]

Confusion and surprise lit his gaze as he turned and stared at her, eyes wide. "There's nothing between us." Hurt began creeping into his voice as it lowered to a whisper "How could you think that. Is that really what you think I would do?" Hurt shone in his eyes as he looked up at her."

[Incendie]

Althaia looked down and shook her head gently. She meowed and said, "She is just so pretty, Stonepelt. Unlike me," She said looking down in shame.

Stonepelt raised Althaia's chin with his paw "You are 10 times more beautiful then her, and 1000 time's more beautiful on the inside. And that's all that matters." He leaned forward and gently licked her cheek.
