Aratona was padding quietly through the meadow. Two familiar scents met her nose closely intertwined. Suspicious rose in her as she padded onward. Finally she reached the place where Althaia and Sekine were snuggled close together. She let out a choking sound from her throat as tears welled in her eyes and she whipped around and raced off, tears streaming down her face.

Sekine raised his head and saw Aratona blundering away. Dread set in his limbs as he realized what she might have thought. He rose and began to race after her calling out her name. As he got up he accidentally slapped Althaia in the face with his tail.

Aratona ignored his cries and continued racing on blindly as grasses and plants slapped her face.

Althaia slowly woke up from her sleep. She heard a sob and the scent of Aratona. She got up slowly and started to run as fast as she could to Aratona, her cut was bleeding but she didn't care. She needed to get to Aratona, she found Aratona and grabbed her by the tail. 'I'm sorry. It wasn't his fault. It was mine. I wanted someone to cuddle with. He just feels bad because I got attacked my animals. I'm sorry. Don't hate Sekine for this." Althaia said in one breath as she passed out from lack of blood. Her body falling to the ground

Aratona was too distressed to do anything but run. She couldn't listen. She couldn't help. She couldn't stop. Racing and racing forward she let out a yowl of surprise as her run led her straight into the river. She flailed trying to get to the surface but was thrown under again and again.

Sekine kept racing after Aratona. Sadly for Althaia his route took him around where she lay so he couldn't see her. He heard a yowl and ran faster until he skidded to a halt at the edge of the black, fast-flowing river. He searched desperately for his mate until he saw her gold and black head bobbing farther down the river. Without hesitation he jumped into the river and swam out towards her kicking strongly with his legs. When he finally reached h er she had passed out and he sunk his teeth into her scruff and dragged her out onto the bank they fell off. Desperately he licked her fur repeatedly murmuring softly to her "Come on Aratona wake up, I love you It wasn't anything I was helping her because she was hurt she wanted me to snuggle its the only way I could get her to go to sleep" He carried on and on his voice cracking in sorrow.

Aratona finally stirred vomiting up a bunch of water. She was too weak to do anything but let herself be comforted by Sekine's presence until she drifted back into unconsciousness.

Althaia body hit the ground, far behind the fast flowing river. She felt her life slowly being drained for her. She gasped for air. She coughed and gagged, until she fell into a deep, coma like sleep. Her body left, beaten, broken and her head sorrow filled.

Riltra followed her sister's scent. It was mixed with sorrow and that confused Riltra. As she followed the scent she almost tripped over an unconscious body. She wasn't sure if she had met her before but all of a sudden it didn't matter. She bent over it and sniffed the she-cat. She wasn't sure what was wrong with her and she tried desperately to find out.

Sekine leaned over and began to lick Aratona's fur dry. He murmered softly into her ear, "I'm sorry Aratona I was just trying to make her feel better I'm sorry it was a misunderstanding I would never cheat on you please forgive me." He rested his head on her shoulder.
