Aratona lay in the meadow gently grooming her wound. Earlier that day she had met up with a fox that gave her a good couple of wounds before she was able to flee. She was proud that she got in a couple of good blows before she had the chance to run. Now that it was over she just wished she could find some comfrey, marigold, wet moss, and cobwebs. But most important was to clean the wounds.

Riltra was padding through the meadow when the tang of blood met her nose. She parted her jaws to follow the scent to its cause and almost tripped over Aratona. She gasped to see the state her littermate was in. "What happened to you Aratona?"

Aratona looked up from her wound suprised that her littermate had found her and hoping the smell of blood wouldn't attract any predators. She let out a soft nervous laugh wondering how to explain this to her sister "well, I was out hunting and there was this really fat mouse and I really wanted it and I didn't smell or hear the fox as it was coming up behind be and I got stuck in between two rocks and I had to get it good a few times before I could escape and come here." She tried to shrug it off like it was nothing but she winced and began licking the wound on her shoulder.

Riltra sighed and gave her head a gentle lick. "Well I'm glad your alright and not hurt to bad." She gave her littermates body a quick look over then began to mutter under her breath "Ok I'm going to need wet moss, the rock by the fish stream, marigold, right over there, comfrey, right on the edge of the woods, and cobwebs, that hollow trunk next to the moss." She spoke directly to Aratona now "I'm going to go get what we need t o take care of you in the meantime just keep licking that wound." She bounded off the go get the herbs to take care of her sister.

Aratona watched her sisters tail stream a way before continuing to gently lick her wounds. The sun was shining brightly and warming her up. The fight with the fox had exausted her and now Aratona found herself drifting off to s leep.

Rilta padded back to her sister decked out with medical things. Cobwebs were clinging all over and she had wet moss sitting on her back. In her mouth she held marigold and comfrey. Seeing her sister was asleep she began to quietly wash the wounds with the wet moss then started chewing the marigold and comfrey together. She plastered the poultice to all the wounds then finally plastered the cobwebs above the poultice. Feeling satisfied with her work she curled around her littermate and began gently grooming her fur as she slowly drifted to sleep.

Aratona woke up when the sun was starting to set feeling much better. She tried to get up but her leg gave way under the pain of the big bite on it. Hunger gnawed at her stomach and she hoped that Riltra woke up soon.

Riltra raised her head blinking sleep out of her eyes when the stranger to her approached. Her eyes were cautious and she took in every inch of this cat. She had no idea who she was or if she was going to hurt her littermate.
